Fish Hook Press

Fish Hook Press is a micro press operating in Kingston, Ontario. The business was created to cater to indie authors in the local area who are seeking to have limited editions (10-50 copies) of their books.

FHP prints, binds and cuts all in house.

To date, FHP has published one novel in 2024 by Indie Author Paul Hook.

Plans for 2026-27 are to accept up to 4 new orders from Indie Authors.

FHP will also be expanding to limited editing services as Paul recently completed a copy editing course through Queen's University.

Printing

IUsing an Eco-Tank 3950, printing services are fast and reliable. High quality, 24 lb paper is used for internal pages and cardstock ensures a durable yet flexible cover for paperback novels.

Binding

Binding is completed with a thermal binder to ensure excellent quality.

Once binding is complete, all books are cut to spec with a Vevor guillotine paper cutter.

Packaging

The finished paperback books are packaged by hand.

All finished products are delivered locally by FHP.

Editing

Limited copyediting for indie authors.

FHP is comfortable with crime and mystery fiction as well as historical fiction.
