Where would authors get ideas or enjoy new things if they didn't read other books themselves? I'm a huge fan of reading and normally have one or two books on the go. My favourite author right now is Amor Towles: Rules of Civility and a Gentleman in Moscow being two great books.
Yesterday, I started reading J.R.R. Tolkien. I'm still in the prologue of the Fellowship of the Rings. Who knew there was so much drama with publishing the story and the editing of the books? It's fantastic and I haven't even started the story yet!
Is it wrong to read the book after watching all of the movies? I don't think so. What are your thoughts?
I'd say that it's better to read the book first but better late than never!
